This paper on the Cotonou Partnership Agreement (CPA) between the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) States and the EU is divided into three chapters I- Framing the Debate; II- How has the CPA delivered on its key innovations?; III- Continuing relevance of Cotonou in a changing world? With the focus of ACP-EU cooperation shifting towards the African Union and Regional Economic Communities (RECs), ACPEU partners are confronted with the challenging task of rethinking and repositioning their relationship in a multipolar world. It is made an extensive analysis of the agreement, its functioning, progress, and also projection of possible scenarios.
