Âmbito e conteúdo
The debate on security policy has intensified following recent events such as the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF). The strategic objective of the Alliance is to maintain the security and territorial integrity of the Allies and to achieve this it needs to influence by its capabilities and options the will of a potential aggressor. It addresses the issues of disarmament, arms control and military stability. Finally, it is made an analysis of the NATO-Warsaw Pact relationship and the same considerations, but under the German national perspective.
