Este texto analisa o processo de democratização dos partidos islâmicos do Magreb, antissistema, que, até aos anos 80 do século passado, mantinham uma retórica revolucionária. Pragmaticamente, estes partidos perceberam que a única forma de influenciarem a governação passaria por trilharem o caminho da legalização. É analisada a forma como estas forças partidárias interagem com a UE, nomeadamente na fase da emergência do fenómeno do terrorismo.
